1955 Founding of Dr. Roos consultancy, Hanover

  • Established and supported supplementary pension funds in the public sector.

1955 Foundation of Beratungsgesellschaft für betriebliche Altersvorsorge und Versicherungsmathematik mbH (BERAG)

  • Our consulting services specialise in actuarial and legal advice
  • Administration of employer-financed pension schemes

1989 Takeover of BERAG by insurance broker C. Wuppesahl, Bremen

  • Expanded service offerings to include expert tendering and procurement of funding instruments for pension obligations.

1993 Name change to BERAG Beratungsgesellschaft für betriebliche Altersversorgung und Vergütung mbH

  • Founded BERAG Versicherungsmakler GmbH as a wholly owned subsidiary of BERAG.

1999 Foundation of TPC THE PENSION CONSULTANCY GmbH, Hamburg

  • Specialized consultancy offering industry-specific pension solutions.
  • Employee counseling for large collectives on company pension schemes.
  • Ongoing support and management of company pension schemes.

1999 Foundation of the MLP Corporate University

  • Through the Corporate University, MLP established its own educational institution offering courses in finance, insurance, taxes, and law, as well as training experts, e.g., in the field of occupational pensions.

2004 Takeover of BERAG by MLP FDL AG

  • BERAG was acquired by MLP Finanzdienstleistungen AG.
  • MLP expanded its expertise in occupational pension provision to include legal services, business consulting, and actuarial services.

2008 Takeover of TPC by MLP FDL AG

  • MLP expanded its consulting expertise by specialising TPC in association solutions, demographic consulting, employee communication, and administration.
  • TPC expanded its nationwide consultant presence, integrating 1,200 licensed consultants in 170 MLP branches focused on occupational pension provision.
  • Consultancy services were offered to owners, board members, managing directors, specialists, and managers of companies.

2008 Merger of BERAG and TPC

  • Strengthened activities as an independent expert and assessor in occupational pension management.

2012 TPC becomes a member of the International Benefits Network (IBN)

  • Started providing worldwide support for internationally active corporate clients in over 70 countries and became the exclusive IBN partner for advising and supporting German branches of international clients.
  • Expanded services to include International Benefit Consulting, Expatriate Management, Global Brokerage & Multinational Pooling, and International Accounting.

2013 TPC THE PENSION CONSULTANCY GmbH is renamed TPC GmbH

  • Emphasised the comprehensive range of advice and services in occupational pension management.
  • Expanded services to include pay optimisation and occupational health management.

2020 Merger into new business division

  • TPC GmbH and the Occupational Pension Provision and Associations division merged to form the new TPC Occupational Pension Provision division within MLP Finanzberatung SE.
  • The company solidified its leading role in occupational pensions for corporate clients by offering all services from a single source.

2023 Foundation of benefit expert :pxtra GmbH

  • Majority shareholding provides a complete digital solution for the selection and management of employer benefits for its workforce.
  • Both employers and employees use a digital platform and app to manage all services and processes related to employee benefits.
